I am trainning inscription. I am in the 60's. When should I switch to spellbooks, 70's, 80's, or 90's? I am looking to gain skill and turn them into the library. I am at 115 magery.

The only problem with spell books is being able to make enough of them without waisting too many scrolls. I believe I switched at about 80.

Where do you turn spellbooks in? What rewards can you obtain from doing so?

You can turn them in as part of the library quest.
You save up points and you can claim any of the library quest items.

Do you only gain points if you turn spellbooks in to the Mage? The necro also accepts them, which I found out after the mage refused to take any of my books. However, no points are showing when I double click to view the status. Is that normal? Do points take a while to show, or am I wasting books by giving them to the necro?
I've never tried to turn any into the Necro. According to his list he does not except Magery Spellbook. He does except Necro Spellbooks, which is something to keep in mind with the next publish.

If your just going for fast gains switch at 50, youll waste alot of scrolls (oh get your magery to 120 and cap int) but by the time you gm youll have a full set of super slayers (i would honestly trash the books you have to hand in 80k books for the glasses or 55k for the talismans)
