Can we get some clue as to what the ratio willk be? I mean I currently have over 1k mad mage items, 1k ophidean items, few 100 rat coins and god knows how much rubble (1-2k worth).

How about shedding some light on the turn in

[/ QUOTE ]I have no where that much stuff. But I been holding onto what I do have in hopes of turning it in for some type of reward.

I'm at 200 items from Moonglow. I'm also not expecting anything great for the turn in.

The thing I have most of is rat coins I have 916 of them and that's only because for a while no one on my shard was killing them at night so me and my husband could go in there and get a lot of them. I only have about 50 moonglow items since I can only play about 10 to 20 minutes at a time. I haven't counted my ophidion stuff yet but I think I have a over 100 some of which I bought.

I am starting to think the turn in rate is going to suck and the items we get will suck even more.

What I love is how people like to say oh I have a billion of X item.

Anyone who missed previous events or was unable to collect much of anything is going to be left hanging big time thanks to the greedy once again...

THE RAT coins were soo easy to collect in the sewers!! weeks and weeks after the rat invasion actually finished...oh well

I personally want a large ratio turn in like 100 or more for an item. This will actually make the rewards some what valuable and for those that didnt take the time to aquire the items better luck next time

Actually I think it will balance out. The items we get are going to be nothing really great..maybe pieces of virtue armor for instance..or more cursed gauntlet artifacts..but the number of items needed to be turned in will also be low.

Everyone will be able to get something, the people with hundreds of rat coins or plane shields will be able to get lots of it, but none of it will be anything really spectacular so no one is going to get rich off of it or feel left out.

It's going to have to be staggered somehow based on rarity of the item to begin with.

Examples with Ophidian Items and Rat Coins, you have three levels of rarity of the items:

Common: Ophidian Rations, Copper coins
Uncommon: Ophidian Orders, Silver coins
Rare: Ophidian Journal, Gold coins

If the turn in for gold Sovereigns is the same as Copper Pence, or Journals with Rations, I don't think it will work.

On the other hand, if it's "point based" i.e. Community collections, it will work a lot better.

Or they may go yet another route and have separate systems for each item type... who knows... well other than Draconi and wife and the rest of te Event Team.

Most of us would probably rather keep the rat coins and moldy snake rations instead of getting another lizardman statue in a city...

Well, that's a decision we'll have to make when the time comes.

I plan on keeping a few of the event items I collected just to have them. The rest I'll find something I like (or something valuable to sell or trade for something I like and can't get) and turn stuff in.

How it would be great would be a upscaling turn-in system. So the more you turn in, the better the item. Similiar to the zoo/library donation system. But higher progressive.

Example.

Lets say you have 1000 items.

For 50 items you can get a tier 1 item
For 150 items you can get a tier 2 item
For 500 items you can get a tier 3 item
For 1000 items you can get a tier 4 item

Thus with your 1000 items you can either turn in for a great item, or can get 20 basic items. All depending on what items you want.

Also certain items would be worth more points than others. Something that is pretty easy to get, like planeswords/shields would be worth 1, while harder items like thread would be worth 3, while maybe corruption cloaks worth 10. Something like that.

I hope that the turn-in system is something other than just allowing more items to be used for the "blackrock" turn in system. Yea, like I want to have 100 more gloves of the sun in the house.

I'd be a zombie at that point and would need someone to actually show me UO beyond the Moonglow rift to realize it's there...

Whatever the rewards will be, I'm not buying a single thing until I see what they flood the market with.

If it's like the blackrock turnin, you'll understand what I'm getting at.

What you wanna bet it's not? I don't think that much is going to be put into the turn in. The ophid items are more than likely only going to be added for Drac to save face. It's all be the same which will be on the sad side so I'm expecting the items we get for turn in to be non-repairable, non fortifiable crap that has been added to the game because of the zounds of whiners that want to play pre AoS UO.

I'm more hoping the turn ins will be given at a slightly higher rate than the blackrock turn in with a better reward for having waited and saved the BR instead of turning it in to the bad guys back then.

Most likely. Don't forget that it'll all be cursed as well. Basically more lockdowns.

The way i see it, all of the suggestions will likely leave a bunch of folks unhappy but heres mine:

I think it should be done on a drop system just like the runics. Turn in an item....Get a bag. Theres a chance your bag could hold something rare and valuable and there is a chance it will just have something you may or may not care for. Add everything to the drop system like cursed/uncursed arties, Powerscrolls, statues, tokuno dyes and so on and so on. This way, those who have tons of the stuff to turn in will have a better chance but those who do not will also have a chance. Perhaps even boost the chance of a drop for the tougher items.

I hope they keep it all a secret till the last minute. I like these guessing and speculating threads.

I only hope the turn-in mechanism is not the same one as the library and museum one...
