could someone point me to a thread that tells of all the different results of casting armageddon with a mage or necromancer? i've tried the search function and i've only came up with recent inquries about the shadow lords.

specifically, i want to know what happens when cast at different skill levels, and the various effects. and how one knows if they are infected.

From what I've seen and experienced;

Your skills do not matter - my archer with 0 magery, 0 necro and only 30 int can cast it with a BR in my pack and generate the same effect as some Harvard Mage School Grad.

Correction: Skills DO matter if you want to cast it by yourself. Casting on a shadowlord does not need skill. But as far as the differences in skill type (magery vrs necromancy) it does not matter, its the same none the less. You know if you are infected if you start getting messages.

yep, there was a thread that had a lot of details about casting it alone, and i can't find it anymore. there were a lot of different outcomes to casting it depending on how skilled the caster was, and i'm trying to find out the details.

Hmm lets see if I can remember.

GM Magery/Necro-Small chance to sucessfully cast
You will receive different messages
You lose control of the wild energies
Something about you feel...strong..something but the feeling passes

One is you will blow up the rock but wont' die, a blue poof of smoke will surround you and you will get knocked back.

One is you will actually succeed in blowing yourself up leaving wonderful body parts all over.

It does not seem to matter if you blow yourself up or not, the first time you cast the spell does not necessarily guarentee you to become infected, sometimes it could take a few days before the effects to show.

The blue wisp will come to you ONLY one time.

That's all I can remember off the top of my head.

Last time I checked it was supposed to erase all life except that of Lord British. The last person to use the spell (when given by the wisps) destroyed ancient Sosarian civilisation.

But hey who cares about lore when you have elves right?
