Info on unused tiles please

Hi a friend of mine picked up a few things called 'unused tiles' in an idoc recently. Each were in a wooden box and can be placed by chopping the box and locking down and returning to a box when unlocking and repacking. Could someone please advise me if these are 'legal' to have and if so are they worth anything?

Yes, they're legal, but I'm not sure on prices. I think I got mine for 1.5m, but it's been a long time since i bought it.

Afaik not.

I've seen some go for 4-6m recently.

Unless its been changed there was a method to create them in KR, so there should be significantly more than there was prior to 6 months ago.
