Ultima Online is so much like RL it is scary. I used to have a desire (back in the day) when i first started playing this game on LA to be the best of the best and I was well on my way. I ran into obstacles that made it very challenging and it made me want to pursue even harder. Then I met this lonely passer-by in Shame dungeon and, well, what can I say, I fell and fell hard 
It was great. It was awkward at first but I truly believe that we didn't cross paths by chance. I pursued, faced many obstacles, pursued, faced many obstacles and then gave up and lost probably the best "friend" one could ever find. For some reason, I stopped pursuing. I felt as though I have lost my desire to keep pursing obstacles out of respect for my friend because I didn't want to be an obstacle for her. My life has been miserable since. I have learned a very valuable lesson in life...No matter how high the obstacle, if you want whats on the other side bad enough, you will NEVER give up. That holds true for you LA players striving to be the best. Always remember....never lay down your arms and give up! You may be miserable for the rest of your life!
