In need of a blacksmith

Right then, A blacksmith, preferably a legendary one and with one of those fancy hammers to increase your chances, to do a few enhancements on a half dozen or so shields.

I would supply the ingots, but I cannot find a vendor selling valorite ingots anywhere. I will gladly pay you for your ingots and your time.

All payed with full understanding that I may lose some or all of the items in the enhancement process. I will still pay!

Please let me know

Thanks

what do you want added to the sheilds, because not every attribute can be added to sheilds.

seems doable, although my smith is an imburer as well. so you want shields enhanced with valorite only ?
Well I thought one could only enhance an item once. Meaning once it's enhanced with, say valorite, one couldn't go back and enhance it with dull copper or some such.

The enhancement is for the little extra resist it would add. They are all spell channeling without penalty and would be carried by spellcasters.
I was under the impression too that imbuing gave the item only so much life before it is broken forever. While I am aware I could put powder of fortify on them before imbuing, I don't have the gold to spend on that much powder.

I don't even know if they will really wear down being carried by a spellcaster.

is any of this making sense?

If I knew they wouldn't get worn out on a mage, tamer, and a bard, I would just assume imbue them. Still with resists in mind and maybe defense chance increase.

Even so, the ingredients to imbue might be too much too, I have no idea.

I assumed enhancing would be the most expensive cheap way.

Please advise.

there are 7 shields. Five are plain spell channel without -1.

the sixth has 12%dci and 4%reflect and the last shield has 15% dci. Both of these are also spell channel without penalty.

Spell channeling shields held by mages generally don't wear down. I've had one for years on SK and it's 196/199.

By that same logic, you could powder up a shield, imbue it, and it also wouldn't wear down much. Most of the stuff I use or make for my own characters are only powdered up to 150-ish, it'll last a very long time and can still be repaired. By the time they're worn down, I'd have enough money/resources/begging to get another set made.

I actually use my stuff for PvP and I still don't see much of a hit on durability; just gotta keep it repaired and such.

Also, color coordinating the armor is a must.
