In-game Mail?

Is there a way to send mail/messages to other players? This description for the 'Mailbox' was posted Oct. 2015...is it still valid? Mailbox – Ultima Online

From that description it appears that to use the mailbox I need to physically go to the other person's location and place mail into their Mailbox...mail cannot be sent, for example, from my mailbox to theirs?

There is no way to send messages to another player unfortunately.

You can either write in a book and drop into the mailbox as you mentioned above, or some people may have a bulletin board which you can leave a message on.

Many UO players use ICQ to reach each other.

Some have their ICQ or other contact information listed in their paperdoll...
