(Question) Improperly placed ?

Exactly what does this mean when a house that was already standing, properly placed suddenly reads improperly placed ? I have never had this happen before ???

I didn't do a thing to it, cept add 2 front doors, on the place, and now tonite it is showing *improperly placed* ! It has been standing there properly placed for the past several yrs.

Is it cuz I slapped a house behind it ?

It is the Aeric Horn Memorial building house.

Should we be worried or ignore that it is now reading *improperly placed* ?

If I have to move everything in the Memorial out of there, to place elsewhere to save it I WILL !

:(

Improperly placed means that you can't replace it at the same spot again. The house behind it probably caused it. You have nothing to worry about. The house will not decay or get deleted.

Thank you, Kas !

That is what I was wondering too, cuz it was properly placed when it was transfered to me the other day, and it was properly placed even this past few days when it was in Miranda's ownership, even after I did some few 2012 UO housing tiles, updating to the Memorial house. Yet structurally it remained the SAME, in the same spot, and I would never try to *resize* no clue how to even DO that. Nor did I want to lose them half staircases originally put in there, cuz I can't make those. :) Tried very hard not to, screw up the design nor it's place, while *updating* it a bit.

I do, [plan to make it public again], but I deliberately did not change the house structurally one bit, nor where it stood, and well it's been standing there since what 2005 or something, properly placed.

But yesterday, I slapped a 17 x 12 right smack, behind it, so close I had to stand about under the shadow of the back of the Memorial building to get it to place it at all. So close perhaps that set off the *improperly* to the house in front. I was tryin for a look that if a visitor is on 3rd floor of the Aeric Horn Memorial building, the house behind it looks like you can just walk onto it's 3rd floor too. * thus perhaps it is TOO close* causing the improperly.

Kept tryin for 17 x 13 but an Umbra stubborn fern and rock wouldn't permit the new house to go to 13 deep in size.

When the idoc fell next door to it, and my guildmate took over that spot,
the Memorial read 'Properly placed' yet then, TOO.

I only wanted a house behind the Memorial,
to look like an extension of the Memorial,
even matched the housing tiles etc. to the degree,

it all now looks like one Guardians of MYTH guild, mini together, MEGA houses,
& Memorial House, between the 2 of them, plus the guildmate's matching house next door.

When I redesigned the Memorial building that spot right behind his Memorial building was open, and it like Cliff human behind his characters of Aeric Horn/Ginsu was 'still guild-leading me', prodding me, sayin
[OPEN UP our vendors again Mir, right behind here, where we once all together had some vendors, in Umbra.] :)

Then late last night, I seen the Memorial was suddenly, *improperly* placed.

My reason to take over the Aeric Horn building was to try to preserve it,
reopen it, as gm of MYTH, & to keep Aeric's memorial standing, [not to lose it.]

So if I have nothing to worry about, then GOOD !

Cuz those 2 Aeric Horn & Ginsu vet marble statues, inside, if ever lost, could never be replaced again again.

And IF I remove the house, which I put up directly behind it just yesterday then one day, the Aeric Horn Memorial building may/should read *properly placed* once again.

I hope. :)

*ps* Kas I have lotsa fish and some lobster/crabs idoc fetched, which will be going on vendors [right behind the Memorial building], soon.
If ye may be needing some fish quest fishes or few lobsters and crabs. :)

I think the foundation when placed is fine, but when front steps are added it becomes too close to the house in front of it.

Aye what silent said. But yeh it sure is weird, that someone anyone can place a house too close to our own, IF they actually get it to go down to place and instead of their new house reading 'improperly placed'
*as is, it shouldn't even go down, at all, to begin with then*
but if it does place, I guess it automagically screws up the neighbor's long standing PROPERLY placed house.

No it does not make any sense, call it a UO weird !
