Imbuing Question

I have been away from uo for a little over a year while I was in Iraq

My Main Character was a Sampire.

With the changes that have occurred over the last year my Sampire isn't all that good any more

Currently he uses a dark wood set and Soul Seeker with Jewlery to boost his HCI and DCI

I'm thinking about making a new set of Armor/Jewelry/Weapon for him so I'm Training up an artifacer to make armor, weapons, and Jewelry

Can you guys give me some advice on what base armor and weapons I should make to Imbue with the properties I'm looking for

Basically I want:
All 70's resist
HCI 45%
DCI 45%
DI as much as possible
as much Mana Regen on my armor as possible

Just looking for advice on the best armor and weapons I can make for a Sampire

you do realize that after imbuing your armor, it will eventually wear out as you can not apply powder of fortification on the items. to bump up the duribility.

didn't know that, but I assume I can use powder of Fort on the item first and then repair it

right?

Use the Powder of Fort on it BEFORE beginning the imbue process to get it to 255 base, before you start working on it. Once an item has the "Imbued" tag, it can't be powdered.

Luckily, you can't break something with imbuing failures.

Actually, in my opinion..Darkwood is STILL a great suit.

The bonus you really gain from Imbuing is the fantasmic jewelry and weapon you can make to tweak your sampire to the max.

Take the Darkwood suit, and a ring/brace combo that adds 16str, 16 dex, 30 hci, 50EP, and one last attribute that can knock the stocking off of almost any monster in the game.

Then a weapon with 50HLA, 30SSI, 50SI, 50LL and 50ML or SL which ever floats you swampy.

Don't get much better than that!

Hmm, as I can recall the only major tweak that hit the sampires was that you can no longer equip items to get high enough necro, cast vampire form, take off items and put on some other stuff and still remain in vampire form. In other words: Once you drop below the required skill for the spell, the form reverts.

I could have missed something of course.

your correct. you must now have 99 skill in necro either using items or real skill in order to be able to go into vamp form. guys in my guild that run sammies drop tactics. prefering to load up on di pieces, eoo, curse/consec weap, honor and lightning strike outweigh the use of tactics.

darkwood suit is nice for sure, but using arties and imbued armor/jewels in combination can make u much, much stronger.

what is ur fire resist using a darkwood suit while in vamp form?

Dropping tactics means losing special moves as well, though. Isn't it an expensive sacrifice?

yes you lose special moves, however the guys in my guild that play sammy's say its an acceptable loss.

honoring the mob at the outset, coupled with eoo, consecrate, lightning strike and perfection cause a huge damage output, when coupled with a high mana leetch weapon.

plus you also have the momentum strike special to deal with more than one mob when the need arises.

70 as normal....fiddle with the woods a smidgen and you can get it up there. Or simply toss a bit of fire resist on the jewelry
