Ok so i finally finished my sampire suit and was making the ideal kryss to compliment it.

i started off making an exceptional and pofing it and then dropping the damage increase to 1%. then i put 30ssi and 15hci on it no problem wanting to use the first two imbues on relic skills. next would be 50HML and 50HSL and then 5%DI to get up to my 100% total there. Nothing fancy... the problem is when i went to imbue max HML it offered me max of 37% instead of 50. i had already invested my relics in this sword so i went with the 37% and moved on to HSL. HSL gave me a max of 50% and i finished with my 5%DI. So everything is perfect with my new outfit except my HML is 37 instead of 50 and i dont know why i got screwed out of 13% mana leach.

is it because i made an exceptional kryss to begin with and dropped DI from 40 to 1 to make the first two imbues easier? i am tempted to just go an buy a regular kryss from an npc and try it again but hesitate to spend the 200k+ on POF and waste another 10 Relics to find out the same thing.

I made another exceptional kryss and bring up the imbue menu and it offers 50%HML and i make an exceptional dagger with the same result. all i can think is that the hiccup came when i dropped the DI. any thoughts?

hml is determend by swing speed so the faster a weapon the lower hml has to be!

It's because you made SSI first. If u tryed to imbue HML first you'd get what you want. Second question is why u ever wanted SSI on a kryss? It's deadly fast anyway. You need around 80-90 stamina to swing at max speed without SSI.

here is the formula
hml/hll=2500*base weapon speed/100+ssi

so if i have 136 dex the ssi isnt doing me any additional good anyway? so i could use HLD or slayer or something instead? i dont know all of the formulas. i just looked at the sampire guide to build the suit/weap and it says ssi is important. ive just played a dexer/healer in the past but would like to solo tougher stuff. thanks

exactly you dont need ssi with your dex and the kryss so you could put another mod on instead!

Or try a leafblade with SSI. It hits much harder than a kryss and with your dex you can swing at max pretty easily. More damage equals more leeching.

As the others were saying - odds are that 37% HML IS 100% intensity after factoring in the way swing speed affects it.

After all, the Soul Seeker went from 40% displayed down to 30% (a 25% drop), with the change, and that's the same drop on your Kryss.

The Ideal Kryss is a Leafblade :p (unless you have Poisoning on the char.)

First off: Non-exceptional items have a max property weight of 450% (instead of 500%)

Secondly: 100% Leech property varies based on weapon speed (including SSI) so for really fast weapons, 37% actually *is* 100% leech. (For ML and LL, not SL [Hit LL... hehe "hit lich lord" would be an awesome weapon property])

Ack! Ninja'ed by Basara. (by a whole 4.25 hours... damn he's good :) )
