Imbue barbed whip exceptional

So i have one of the new recipes from doing the krampus, barbed whip one, and i have crafted several plain exceptional whips ( iron ore and leather)
My question is should i imbue these or do they some how get reforged with a tool to get 100 percent elemental ? Or do you make them with valorite or some other color ingot?

I would like to make several ; one with high luck, one with respond slayer , and one for pvp

I know about the powder of fort but am unsure what other steps i need to take to make these weapons the way i want

They can be reforged with Smithing Runics, and Enhanced with Tinkering. If you want 100% Elemental, you want to use a Shadow Iron Runic Hammer, which can get you 100% in all elemental damage types.

You can use a Dull Copper Runic to get 70% Fire/Cold, and then attempt to Enhance it to 100% with Bronze or Agapite.

Reforge with Powerful > Grand > Inspired -> Choose Exquisite / of Quality

It may take many tries, but that will get you 100% Elemental damage whips.

After you reforge to 100% Elemental, you can imbue as desired.

Sorry, I was mistaken. You can enhance them with Tinkering, not Blacksmithing.
