I have a fully trained (all 120's) cu with AI and discord. Ultimately it's a really great tank, but I'm really questioning the discord. For boss type mobs, champs, etc. its success rate is ~25%. The pet will try to discord about 3 times and then give up. On mobs that has a higher success rate discord isn't needed since they are usually dead in a few hits. I'm wondering if those points would have been better spent elsewhere. Curious if anyone else has a different point of view.

I'm starting to question the value of discord on a pet
You are bringing up some good points, and aI agree with your concerns. As Donovon would say, it will depend on what you mostly want the pet for : Is it boss type creatures mostly, or is it Lev 5-6-7 treasure hunting? Etc. I would keep the pet, enjoy it, and hope that it will evolve with this changing taming system, i.e. more discord attempts in the future if fail occurs etc. Enjoy the pet anyway, and think positively that things will get better. You are bringing up a very good point though, discord attempts should increase with fails and high level skill. I hope you can toss a note to the developers, @Kyronix and others.
