Does all my stuff go right to the temp storage container, still in each of their respective chests and bags?

Also, I would like to see what size it will convert to, before going through with the conversion. Is this possible to know beforehand?

Seriously, you shouldnt have the option on a classic house to customize it. That just doesnt make sense. If it is there, some dev needs to fix that.

You have nothing to fear except organizing everything that falls into the storage container.

Everything will be in it's respective container but it will be all scattered and the lock downs are just piled up.. So I suggest putting all the naked lock downs in a container before customizing..

yes you can convert it. I did mine, and yes my stuff went into the moving crate. It's the re-size option that counts as a demolish. I can't remember exactly what the size is, but I found a picture of my roof garden which might help.

uhm....if ya have any elven chests, parrots, fountains of life ect...mostly elven stuff upstairs from the main floor...you will have to calla GM...they will be stuck in the air and you wont be able to reach them or customize the house in any way because they are there...ive had this happen and it was nasty!...had to pretty much freak out on the GM to get him to understand what was going on...painfull PAINFULL memories.......

You will get an 18 x 14 house plot if you turn a classic tower into a customise house.

I would suggest though you take your parrots, your house tile deeds, ML addons and chests etc. and stow em up as the poster said before or all your parrot birdies will be floatin or land in the yard unclaimable.

I have converted lg. towers myself many a time to the Customise home plot, but it is best to actually move all your stuff down to first floor, first and secure it there, in chests etc. the less junk ya end up with all in your house sign the better.

And please, don't hit CUSTOM MODE from LG. Twr. if ya have parrots etc.

They look so sad when or if they land in the yard like orphans off their perches etc. AXE first stow em in a chest.

Tower converts to a 16x14 according to this.

I haven't converted one myself, just wondering if that page is wrong and it really is a 18x14.

but they dont count on the 'footprint'

And L-shaped houses... wish they'd add a convert if you've placed in a spot where it would go square and not hit anything else.

Of course, given that I understand programming, I fail to understand why L-Shapes aren't customizable except for the fact that they did a lousy job with roof coding in the custom house system (without wasting a row of space in one direction or another, you can't duplicate NPC roofing).
