If all the "East Coast" servers are on the East Coast (Fairfax?)

Then why does my latency on login show:

Legends 218
Atlantic 46
Lake Superior 48
Great Lakes 246
Chessy 251
Catskills 248

Not really pancakes, but I play Legends, if the physical location for them is the same, why are some shards so laggy?

Because they aren't. All the servers are now Cloud Hosted by AWS.

Your ping to Legends sounds like my average ping to Legends!
And Legends is the lowest ping I have on my list.

Still, it is a bit weird that it is so high considering that you are far near to the server than I am.
