I tried to place an 18x18 today after a fall and not only has it been almost an hour, but now I am receiving a message that I have tried too many times. WTF. Yay scripters.
Sometimes the people in charge just cant win can they?????
I AM NOT having a go at the poster of the message. However, There were constant moans and groans about how quickly plots got placed and how a select few were moving everything lootable from an idoc onto these plots. They counter act this with a timer and what happens????? people soon start moaning again.
Just what would you have them do? never be able to put a plot down again on a spot where a house has fallen? and everything in the home vanishes negating the need for anyone to idoc ever again and there fore no one moans anymore (except due to lack of housing)?
**Edited to include this**
NOT ALL house plots placed before this timer at idocs were due to scripters. A quick finger often beat any script!! whilst most people dashed for the loot then thought about placing the plot after, the clever ones lost some of the loot they could have collected in the 5 secs it takes to place a plot (if u had the gump open and ready with target poised) because they realised they would get more than they lost when they started dragging onto the plot.
So whilst scripters are partly to blame, maybe more of the blame for this inconvenience to you, lays at the feet of those of us who had been placing the plots manually for YEARS!
Sorry, but timers f**ked me off too, but i often find its the ones that moaned about the select few getting everything that are now moaning they cant place a home!
So maybe you can suggest a better option? personally i think what they put in place is acceptable on both sides even if it has stopped me placing and looting in the manner to which I had become acustomed to over the years i was idocing.
