Ideas Den?

There used to be an Ideas Den, am I just missing it now, or is U-Hall the proper place to Post such Ideas for the Dev's? or do Players Ideas only rate file 13 status?

Apparently the Dev team feel it would be too much work to watch both UHall and an Ideas Den, so after the crash it wasn't brought back.

Stratics isn't run by the developers. When the big crash happened, Stratics decided to move ahead at that time with the big forum upgrade. The Ideas Den was a custom forum, likely written by whoever was managing Stratics way back when. It would have likely taken a bit of effort to make it compatible with the new forum. Plus, if I am not mistaken, the Ideas Den had dropped in popularity a lot and was barely being used anymore.

Thus, the Ideas Den never made it back.

Actually JC, I believe that it came up in a conversation with Stratics Admins and some of the Devs, and the Devs requested that we not bring it back, and have the stuff in U.Hall - not to say your points weren't also factors as well...

Basara is correct. I based my info on a conversation that was had in the staff forums about the ideas den. One of the admins told us that the Dev team requested that it not be brought back because they'd rather just monitor UHall.

To be totally accurate, the preferred method of conveying ideas is through the feedback forms on UO Herald. UHall is the 2nd choice.

True... true. But UHall is the best way to test out the merits of an idea. I've had ideas that I thought were fantastic, posted them here and others quickly (very quickly) pointed out the flaws. Gotta have a thick skin, but this is definitely the fastest for real feedback.
