Idea For Player Vendors

Anyhow my idea for possible vendor improvement would be to allow say only 10 or 20 items on any vendor marked not for sale but allowing any item type to be marked as such. I would welcome a change like this to allow me to put up a few display items on a vendor beside a bag containing the sale item of the same sort. This would be used by me to show people where i put things like enchanted apples powder of fort and many other consumables. Now before you all go this would be abused for item storage i don't feel that 5 or 10 items per vendor would hurt that much and if some people who have very very expensive items like say server birth rares old event items and the like who want to sell them but feel the max price is just to little they could mark NFS and put a description along with price and contact info.

This could be a good thing though i know a few people would abuse it it could also be abused in a good way i know one player on my shard who has a castle setup with vendors that are empty just to wear gear to show off. Now imagine a heap of vendors with nfs items on them used for museums and the likes yes you would still have to pay a per day cost for vendor upkeep but this would allow a bit more freedom for players who love to display things.

Even adding a slight cost per day of say 60 gold per item marked NFS would be a handy addition would still cost people to use it, and would charge the people who just need a little extra storage for all the items they want to keep around.

In the end i just want to make my shop look better and this would help facilitate that in a big way.

This argument has been done before. The major reason for the recent changes to vendors was the whole problem with the abuse of the storage system. Even with your suggestion there still is a wide margin for abuse.

I still say do away with the current vendor system. Let players become either Traveling Salesman or let them use current NPC shops in towns. For that matter, give players the ability to "teach" skills to new players the way NPCs can. If I have a blacksmithy type shop in Britain set up, a newby should be able to buy 30 skill pts from me, instead of an NPC. This could be coded some way through the trade window. It at least deserves some thought. Look what it would do for player interaction that so many have been screaming about for years. I went to one of those UO vendor search sites, and it's a freaking shame what EA is allowing these sites/programs to get away with....do away with Luna type vendors already!!!!

BOD's The storage of bods is often vendors, mainly since they take so much space. Reduce full bod book storage to 1 and then that will not happen so much. But yeah.. Abuse anyone?

Get a clue the new penalty is messed up as it is and can be gotten around with ease and a bag. (admits to figureing out how but not one to bother doing said thing since i sell to much stuff and don't mind the fee's)

Training skill off players while sounds good would be a waste of time by the devs unless they let players train skills higher then 33 or 40. train skill off player to 1/2 what the player has for skill would be decent. 120 skill player can teach to 60 skill 100 to 50 ext. that would be ok. but i do not see that ever happening.

How is letting people put a few things on the vendor marked nfs abused ? when the vendor gets to earn an additional 60 + gold hmm? because you can now see it and can't buy it ahh that must be it you just don't want the people with cool stuff to flaunt it in your face i guess.:next:
