Maybe a system can be added where we can create own quests using an NPCs/vendors in our homes for other people to engage in. Where we can make our own storyline and requirements like slay # kinds of monsters, 5 monbats, bring me 7 fish steaks, and 25 ingots and can also have an option to reward whatever the host has and wants to offer (can be an alternative way to sell something too).
As for any complications (because I know many of you will bring these up), to avoid abuse by the host, there could be a time limit after a quest is accepted where the owner of the NPC cannot take out the reward they offered until the time expires (thats if the person never completes the quest). If multiple people do the quest, the reward can go to a first person to complete the quest. There can also be an option to set a fee for those accepting to do the quest to help deter camping it, this fee can also be an incentive to get people create quests, incentive to offer good rewards, and help pay for the NPC hired to host it.
I know some of you will say "why don't you just use your own imagination and create your own quests, play the current quests offered, and blah blah blah!..." but I think this is a way to could be fun trying out others peoples creativity or letting others try ours, even while we sleep, get people to go to places we rarely go, help provide something more than vendors in our homes, and maybe it can also help improve the end game content of UO. Some of the current quests can be fun but after doing it once or twice it gets old fast, and often offer nothing good.
I mean, in the end, it would work like many of the current NPC quests but everything about it and any possible rewards are determined by the players instead.
Anyway, yeah, just throwing out an idea... that's all.
