Not to speak for the man, but I can assure you he’s really still quite fond of, and interested in Ultima Online.
Even so much that he came to our Austin Town Hall and spoke to the assembled crowd, did interviews, and signed autographs.
I even had the honor to stand on stage with him and accept a plaque from Governor Winfield of PaxLair.
All hail our rightful liege

I was there!
Didn't get a dad blasted tee shirt,
BUT I do have a poster with Autos from Drac, Leurocian, Jeremy, and LB himself!(He didn't sign it that way though.) Richard was mainly focussed on his new game (Tabula Ratha)soon to be released at the time, and making himself ready to be part of privatized space flight(we talked about performing parabolas over the Gulf of Mexico), but we did have great chuckles about early adventuring days in UO,and he listened with great interest and astonishment about how the playerbase has taken some ownership of the dream and continues to carry it forward.
There was an interview done by UO radio, now defunct, with all of the dignitaries present, with the exception of Jeremy, if memory serves. I have no idea if there is any way to access it or if it still exists anywhere, but it is a good listen if you are so inclined.
THIS is the very stuff that builds community, shared experiences, memories, goals, dreams, pints of bitter
, or whatever might strike the collective fancy. If you have not sought out info on a player meeting, or a Townhall in your area for this year I recommend you do so. You wont regret the effort.
BTW*smiles*
Jer, TX Townhall is still listed as TBA. Are we even looking at coinciding with Gamecon in Austin again this year? The physical location marker looks annoyingly close to those Yankees up there in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area. I'd come anyway, but I'd like it less. The uh, Tequila based concoctions are soooooo much better on a patio in Austin. Just sayin'. *shrugs*
Ya'll have a great day now, hear.
*edited because it wasn't just so, and probably still isn't
