I wonder how many people have achieved GM in Forestry...

After 3 months of cutting down every tree in sight (well, almost), I just reached Forestry proficiency level 23. Levelling up in Gathering skills seems to be pretty slow. I'm just wondering how high people get and how they manage to level up in Gathering skills more quickly. My Foraging skills are also all in their 20s. My producer experience pool is at 1,265,002, and I can't seem to use it up as quickly as my adventuring pool.

I know that I haven't leveled up much in those kind of tree......that being said I haven't gone out of my way to try. From what I have seen, it seems fairly tough. I don't know if @Themo Lock has had more joy?

OK so here are my numbers on the Gathering skills. In giving these I'll say I'm at 55 Adventure level with no GM/s yet, thought I have range combat at 93

Forest - 22 Prof, 20 Survey, 20 Swift, 18 Met
Fld Dress - 29 Prof, 21 Survey (locked),28 swift, 26 met (Locked Survey cause I didn't feel I needed to "find" these)
Mining - 24 Prof, 22 Survey, 22 Swift, 20 Met
Forage - 23 Prof, 21 Surv, 21 Swift, 19 Met

Sean is a gatherer, he will pick up anything and everything.

Chris has stated that gathering skills weren't working as intended and that the skill gain and use should be much better in R26.

This is good news. It is so discouraging spending 5 minutes to chop down a tree to get only one maple or pine wood.

So far it looks like they did improve it. Won't say more.
