I Wish to Resize My House, Grrr

Hail Britainnians,

Recently I am having MAJOR problems with the "I Wish to Resize My House" option.

First, while one might think an hour is more than enough time to resize a house, this has not proven recently to be enough time. House sizes that verifyably should fit will NOT. A variety of messages from housing is not permitted in this area to something is blocking or invalid terrain on a totally empty area (including inside New Magincia and Luna) are occurring.

Secondly, House Placement Tool running out of uses, not allowing another new tool Even on other characters on the SAME Account, add nothing but frustration and stress.

Why, on a House plot with an existing Owner and House, is this process so time limited and fraught with bugs and problems.

GM Pages and Responses during use of the "I Wish to Resize My House" option are utterly useless. Resizing one's own House in a forced one hour time limited window MUST be High on the GM Priority list. To get NEITHER the canned useless response or a GM Visit within the one hour time window is USELESS!

I have sent in reports and have Emailed Mesanna about this issue. I have now tried to upsize my existing home TWICE, waiting a week in between due to the House Timers, and am now waiting another week.

I really need HELP, and ask other Players if any of you have had similar issues?

Not sure if your trying to resize in CC or EC. I found that it was much easier to place using the EC. It also seemed that I could only place one size larger.

'tis NOT a "forced limit" ... it is a gift of one hour of exclusive access to that area
(originally, you drop a house and anyone could place a holder 7x7)

An hour, is a reasonable amount of time, to figure out that you don't >really< know what you thought you could do ...

and then you are given a week to research, per account (rightly assuming that the same false "idea" is probably being practiced by the same one account)
ie
though the stats would seem to present that one character IS smarter than another ... tis hardly ever the case that the >player< on the character swap ... has gotten ANY "smarter" (though there is the possibility that a smarter brother or sister "could" more directly explain: you cannot do that there *biff*)

Now then ... need more data
Shard and location of the attempted land grab ...
bear in mind ... the house >may have been< illegally placed to begin with
and/or
a modification to the area may have been instituted (by bug) or as a "fix" to a bug
and/or
there maybe some disallowing artifice from some long elapsed ingame scenario
and/or
'tis an ancient native burial ground ... or an ant infestation ... or a home-owners-association zoning provisio(no pink flamingos)
and/or

oh! oh! a stagnant gypsy camp spawner !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Upon using the resize command your house tool should be free from over use for 1 hour as well, unfortunately they didn't implement it this way.

As for seemingly open area in New Magincia, what you think is a tile free for house placement is actually a tile for plants. The New Magincia house areas are very specific in size.

After this weeks house placement on Atlantic of 3 houses I have found the tool to be a pain in the tush! The bloody thing gave me every message in the world but pop the darn thing in. I knew the house should go in thre was not one inch of illegal dirt or grass.. not a item in sight to block but did it go in???? Hell NO. I took every try till the tool said you cant do it anymore.... went got new one .... ok one last try before i put back the smaller one...sneeze! poof it fell in. The bloody tool worked when i was over the tree!

I think the tools are out of phase. try one square to the right of placement seems that should drop what you want in. **Grumbles about Dev's and there fingers for "fixing" stuff...** One of thee days I am gunna go there with my big wooden spoon and slap me some pitties!

There's no need to wait a week due to the house timer. If you read the gump after you issue the "I wish to resize my house" command you'd see that it says the resize option bypasses the 7 day timer. Hope this helps!

Ohhh, there IS a one hour wait between resize attempts. You WILL get the message about the house timer in the text message area but ignore that when resizing your house. Just go right on ahead and place down the plot, or if you're running out of time put down the same plot you had, wait an hour, and try again. First time is scary because you still get the timer message but remember the resize command BYPASSES the 7 day timer.

I did this recently on test and it was rough.... but try as I might I couldn't get the thing to resize even though I couldn't see anything blocking...

I did give up with the EC and go do it in 2d.....
