I want to go to mag by boat

I quite often go places by boat.

I bought some 'from, to' maps from the npc map maker, such as the 'map of Yew to Britain', I also nicked my husband's t.hunter char to draw me some 'local maps' at strategic points, like from the coast near the orc keep. I can then plot a course on them, drop them on the tiller man and let him sail me to my destination.

Regardless where you go on open seas of Britannia, I suggest you take
a sextant and an empty blue book to make notes.
Go straight east until you reach west coast of Occlo; go clockwise along
Occlo's coast until you are north of this large isle; then go north until you
see Magincia. Magincia landing has some problems since the November event.
You will not be able to Mark a rune there, or Gate from there.
There is no Moongate exit! The city is gone except for the CoM buildings.
Also, never tell people when you go there!
