I need some advice on upgrading please.

Hello I just recently returned to the wonderful world of Britannia and I am still stuck on playing AoS. But this coming week I am planning on going to get the 8th or 9th anniversary box sets at Gamestop. They are $20 a piece. But I was wondering if anyone could advise me on which one to get? I'm not really sure whats all in each set, but I did read on the 8th anny box that you got a char transfer, an advanced char, and a anny item. But does it come with Mondains Legacy? I know the 9th one does, but I was just wondering if anyone could provide me some advice or info. Thanks!

You won't get the advanced char, char transfer, or soulstone anymore. Go with the 9th anniversary so you get Mondain's Legacy.

The soulstone was a preorder bonus for the 8th age so I know that is no longer available. For some reason, I though that the other two could still be claimed.

I agree though... if you are going to upgrade now, 9th anniversary is the one that will get you all of the current content. However, you might want to wait a few months till SA is out and just upgrade to that so you will not have to upgrade again in a couple of months.

So with the 8th age you do get a large number of items but it does not come with Mondain's Legacy. The items include (you must choose one gift between these):

• Helm of spirituality
• Gauntlets of Valor
• Dupre's Shield
• Fountain of Life (house addon)
• Dawn's music box
• Talisman of the Fey
• Quiver of Infinity

With the 9th Anniversary:

• Mondain's Legacy ($30 value)
• Additional quests
• Crystal and Shadow Housing sets
• Personal Attendants

Overall the 9th anniversary is going to be the best value (I agree items are tempting). If it is $20 in the store you save $10 on Mondain's Legacy by getting it there.

Ahh ok thanks for the info. I will probabily go ahead and upgrade it, as I would like to make a samurai and ninja before SA comes out. $20 isn't a bad price. Thanks!!

You will find that you get two account codes, with the 9TH Anniversary.

One is an Upgrade the other is a New Account with either a 30 day or a 45 day free trial (just can not remember for sure).

The only two of the above listed 8th anniversary items I would take is the Fountain and the Quiver. Both can be selected from a Heritage Token. On my shard that goes for about 400K or so

I was under the impression that, while the 8th age soulstone was not a gift still available from the 8th age box, the advanced character and transfer token codes were still viable.

Use the 9th anniversary version to register the account - getting Mondains Legacy content and areas access - as well as the housing tiles and a personal attendant, and then use the 8th age boxed code(s) to get the advanced character and transfer tokens. Use the Advanced Character Token to get your Samurai OR Ninja to 85%, and sell the transfer token for a few [?10-15?] million gold in game.

Additional quests with the 9th Anniversary? What does that mean?

Also do you get a Personal Attendant Token with each box?
