(OOC)
I operate a Community Center out of a privately owned custom house in Luna on Baja. The house is designated "Public." It is currently a 4 story structure with 4 floors and no roof covering its top.
I want to include in this totally open accessible building a place where meetings and possibly occassional auctions might be conducted. I am familiar with various "safe" areas where items and auctioneer are walled or barred off from surrounding viewers/bidders/buyers.
However, I have been told that all such "safe" areas are NEVER safe nor secure if a floor exists either above or below the auctioneer area where the public has "anyone" access to either floor above or below.
I do not know if what I was told is correct or not. If true, I do not know if intruders would be entering the "safe area" using intended game mechanics, unintended game mechanics, exploit, or bug.
I AM NOT asking in this Thread for anyone to disclose anything that would help others penetrate these intended to be, "safe zones."
I AM asking "is there any way to have a "public," multi-story custom house that includes a "safe and secure area" where auctions may be conducted without thieves, stealthers, griefers, etc, to make off with the items intended to be auctioned. The custom house I refer to is in Malas.
PLEASE, please do not reply or post here unless you are as positive as possible that your answer and information is accurate. And DO NOT reveal anything to aid potential "intruders," nor anything that violates either EA/UO or UO Stratics rules or Terms of Service.
I posted this in UHall, instead of Homes & Castles or the Baja Forums because I need to reach a wide, informed group. If absolutely necessary, Mod's go ahead and move this if it is "set in stone required" to be elsewhere.
Folks, I really need your help and expertise. This is an attempt to serve the widest Baja Community possible. I will watch this Thread closely to answer all reasonable questions and clarifications.
Thank You All, in Advance
P.S. Private Messages (PM's) are welcome where most appropriate
