I need advice on sorting my weapons

Call me a dummy (no, don't) but I have been collecting several hundred weapons in all four catagories for some time. What's the best way to sort them. Mage, non-mage, legendary, etc., of course all bows will be together, etc., maybe all UBWS, any ideas.... don't call me compulsively neat though. Lol, I'm gonna sort my jewelry collection next. Maybe soon I'll actually play. Seriously though, people like, for example, OBSIDIAN, impress me so much with their knowledge of the game....Basically I want to know which weapons to keep. I can't just throw them all away. (I tried that once and it was not pleasant when I realized what a big mistake it was.) Thanks for any help you can offer, and please don't make nasty comments. General chat is too full of them already. Lets be human to each other.

Thats something hard to explain in short. Hoarding without knowing what to keep gets you nowhere.
I was going to write something longer, but deleted it. Study what weapons people use for pvm or pvp. Then have knowledge about what you can imbue and reforge and what not. Based on that , make a decision. If its a weapon that might be useful with mods that you cannot achieve by crafting or would be hard for you to craft, keep them.
If its cannot be repaired or cursed, trash it. If its 50 stones or 125 str , trash unless its very very good. Basically same for antique, nobody is going to buy that.

As you play longer under the current loot system you will find its not worth hoarding mediocre or common stuff as you will find more and more stuff you will never use in the end.
But honestly, looted pvm weapons that are actually better than a carefully crafted weapon are extremly rare.

Sort them by property. For example Swords with HLL, Swords without HLL, Swords with HLL & Slayer on them, Swords without HLL and Slayers on them etc. That's how warriors do probably. Overall from loot decent weapons are rare, i only keep like 10 overall. Most of them are just junk not usuable in PvM.

I save all 100% elemental damage weaps in case I can use them...especially 100% poison. Other then that...unless they are legendary drops with incredible stats....they all get unraveled for ingredients! When characters can make, or have made...exactly what they want...only the most unbelievable legendary stuff will sell!

Thanks for the answers, guys, and the friendly attitudes. All of your answers are logical and kind of what I expected to hear. People like Soulweaver who sell artifacts for millions each, must be able to fight much stronger monsters than I and solo things quickly. I'm pretty much at the level of Tsuki wolves and such, Lol. Even though I am a 17+ year vet and I am still very addicted to UO,

What's a bugged thing! It attacks me in spite of I honored myself. And sometimes I don't take honor bonus even although I honored it and got message "you started honorable combat".
One of most difficult things in this fight is to double-click stairs... even when they are there (sometimes you come to the corner and there are no stairs).
