When i try to use them or the crystal it tells me to upgrade to the lastest expansion...

Okay I'll be the first to say that sucks. Wait, this is for those who didn't have it initially or they lost in somewhere in the upgrade but had it before? Color me cornfused. The Shadow and Crystal house tile sets were exclusive to the 9th anniversary edition. The SA expansion allows you all prior expansions - but not the anniversary edition bonuses.
If you want the Shadow set - you'll have to find an old 9th anniversary code somewhere.
Unfortunately for alot of us, upon upgrading to SA, we lose access to the 9th Anniversary tiles that we have previously upgraded for. I've contacted customer service several times about this and keep getting shunted around to "a supervisor" who I never hear back from. I've even given them the upgrade code for the 9th Anni that I used. Many posts have been made on the forums and last person that was "working on it" was Chrissay... we all know what happened there. The Shadow and Crystal house tile sets were exclusive to the 9th anniversary edition. Why when they can charge us like the character slot...Easy solution would be to just grant access to the shadow and crystal tiles to everyone. But then again they probably have bigger issues such as redoing the insurance code because it wasn't broken to their satifaction, figuring out how to screw-up fel even more, and who knows what else they have planned for our mumbling delight.
Yep also my opinion! Grant all players with SA access also access to all house titles in the game now.Easy solution would be to just grant access to the shadow and crystal tiles to everyone. But, at least the slot IS available, despite having to pay for it. It's been said on more than one occasion that a fix to the tilesets was coming, but nothing has happened. They saw fit to hand out heritage tokens for free for the 10th anniversary they did nothing special for even though people paid for them for the 9th anniversary boxset. What reason is there for not releasing the shadow and crystal sets already?Consider the Shadow and Crystal tiles as anniversary goodies, not part of the expansions. They are in the same boat as the 6th character slot which was given for the 8th anniversary edition. You don't get that when you upgrade to SA either, though at least you can obtain it via UOGameCodes.
You have to get your loyalty rateing up for the SA stuff. Not so sure about the shadow. I have access to all of the tiles but I've bought all the expansions. When i try to use them or the crystal it tells me to upgrade to the lastest expansion...![]()
Loyalty rating has nothing to do with house tiles...when i scroll over the tiles it tells me i need to upgrade to the latest expansion and shows the uogamecodes.com link...its pretty funny how the devs dont answer questions anymore on the forums and have a "ask the devs" forum where they answer one question a week...You have to get your loyalty rateing up for the SA stuff. I so wish chocolate ingredients would get stacking ---- maybe it's coming soon with a kewl recipe or 2 - thought I heard rumor it was coming with the last pub - but not as it turns outThis is why I refuse to upgrade any more of my accounts to SA. Aside from the fact I'm barely playing, I did upgrade my main when it was released. It is absolutely ridiculous that something years old hasn't been incorporated into the game by now. Add this to the cocoa ingredients that were supposed to be stackable coming up on a year and a half ago with barely a sentence from someone official about them.
do they still have a community liason? if so does that person work exclusively on UO?its pretty funny how the devs dont answer questions anymore on the forums and have a "ask the devs" forum where they answer one question a week...
ask for a refundIts been over two weeks since I was told my "issue" is being forwarded on to a supervisor and still no contact and I still don't have access to my 9th Anniversary tiles.
:/ Should add all expansions + Bonuses each time they release a new version of the game. The Shadow and Crystal house tile sets were exclusive to the 9th anniversary edition. The SA expansion allows you all prior expansions - but not the anniversary edition bonuses.

I'm pretty sure that's exactly what Tazar stated and that IS exactly what they do. Buying SA included every previous UO expansion.:/ Should add all expansions each time they release a new version of the game. The Shadow and Crystal house tile sets were exclusive to the 9th anniversary edition. They should. That's exactly what I did. Upgraded to SA, then later on I picked up the 9th anniversary box at a store.so the unopened 9th anniversary edition box i bought weeks ago for the purpose of the new "tiles" on my upgraded SA account wont work now?
Ya all the 9th ann. boxes ive seen on the internet run $30.00-$70.00...if they want to force us to spend more cash at least they could do is offer it on their website...still waiting on some feedback from the devs on this subject...They should. Go to Gamestop.com, look up Ultima online. Put your zip code in and you may get lucky. This past fall I found a local store that still had a copy in stock. I got it for 12 bucks. So your saying i could use a account that dont have SA enabled and use the tiles? For example a 14-day free trail account?I remember they added all expansions (up to ML?) for free.
Likely the SA upgrade only gave access to SA stuff. So there could be a gap there that's not covered by your 29.99.
The shadow tiles are quite decent, but most of the crystal tiles are not exactly pleasing to the eye. Worst case scenario, you can get a friend that can access the tiles to help you decor.
I think I've done something like this. The tiles don't revert, but I imagine if you try to customize on the account, the tiles might suddenly go orange (illegal placement) and you'd have to replace them. This is just speculation on my part, however.I wonder what would happen if someone built a shadow or crystal tiles house then transferred it to an account that doesn't have those tiles enabled? Would the tiles revert to something else?
Yup, that is what I meant. Build your house, and use the hides/bamboo tiles as placeholders for the shadow/crystal tiles. Then swap houses with a friend that has access to the tiles, have him customize and replace the placeholders. Swap houses back when done. No, only accounts that used a code from the 9th anniversary box have access to those tiles. Until I got one for my second account a few months back, it couldn't access those tile sets even though it was ML enabled. I think Harle is suggesting having a friend who has the 9th anniversary upgrade build the house for you since they have access to the tile sets.
I cant even buy the 9th ann. code for 19.99...second of all when i scroll over the tiles it says i must be upgraded to the latest expansion which i am...im hoping for some feedback from a devs uo.com somebody to tell me the final verdict on this instaed of having people guessing that truly have no idea thats what im hoping for ...What exactly is it that you are hoping a developer or EA will come out and tell you? That they'll give you the crystal and shadow tiles without you having to upgrade your account? Why should they? If you want to use either of those two tiles sets, then purchase a 9th AE upgrade code from somewhere. Everyone that upgraded had to pay $19.99 to use those tiles. Why should they include them for any reason?
I agree they should be selling the codes at uogamecodes so as not to make people pay a markup at eBay or somewhere else.
Nobody is guessing anything. Those tiles came from the 9th AE that's not in question. The message telling you "you must be upgraded to the latest expansion" is a generic message and isn't actually correct for those tiles. They didn't come with any expansion. It's the same message for all tiles that can't be used regardless of the reason. Should they change the text for those two tile sets? Probably. Should they actually take the time to do it instead of working on other messed up stuff in the game? No, I don't think so.I cant even buy the 9th ann. code for 19.99...second of all when i scroll over the tiles it says i must be upgraded to the latest expansion which i am...im hoping for some feedback from a devs uo.com somebody to tell me the final verdict on this instaed of having people guessing that truly have no idea thats what im hoping for ...

It's not a bug that you can't access the crystal and shadow tiles just because you upgraded to SA. Are we all paying attention? It's not a bug. Upgrading to SA gives you access to all UO expansions. Expansions. Do we understand that? The 9th AE was not an expansion nor was it ever advertised as so. It was a special edition with specific content available for a limited time only. It included up to date discs, the two house tile sets, the attendants and the early buyer bonus Heritage tokens, which they then gave out two to every character later on flooding the market with them. And this is something I've reported as a bug. EA is advertising that we get "all upgrades" to SA when we upgraded our older accounts, which SHOULD include the shadow/crystal housing tiles.i have SA but i dont have the 9th ann. code to use the jet black walls that it offered...
I upgraded 2 of my accounts. Account A can use all tiles and is fine. Account B cannot use the shadow/crystal tiles. Strange, no?
