I have some semi-technical unravelling questions

1) does it matter which forge you unravel on

2) i'm pretty sure it matters if you're a gargoyle or not - just want verification

3) if you have the skill item id and it matters which soulforge you use, how does it know which soulforge you're using when it tells you if you're going to get a relic fragment or not

from what ive seen, two types of forges, queens and other. anything unraveled at queens should give better results. Do you need to be by a forge to use item id for unraveling?

Item ID works anywhere afaik. Which would lead me to believe the forge doesn't matter.

the forge does matter.
if your 1 or 2 pts away from a relic going to the queens forge will bump it up to one

Kojak, we do not have concise answers from the Devs, but some of us have done EXTENSIVE testing and I confidently say the answers to #1 and #2 are YES. I have not messed with #3 yet as it didn't seem worthwhile as I don't have item ID GMed yet.

I've done only a minor amount of testing, but it appeared to me that item ID shows what an object would unravel to using a regular, non-bonus forge. If you are near the Queen's forge, however, it does show what it would unravel to with the bonus.

I have a legendary human artificer and about 70 item ID.

I GM'ed ItemID last night just to test this. My character is a 120 Imbuing gargoyle with a home soulforge. I tested a bag of 45 items at home, Royal city forge, and the Queen's forge. All 3 gave different results.

At home it was 18/27 magical residue/enchanted essence. Royal city 17/28 and Queen's forge 13/32.

So yes, ItemID does take into account bonuses.
