Do I save my remaining turn ins? Do I collect something new. Why not the new Halloween masks!

I am at 86 and counting... Pack-ratting for the win.

I agree. I was going to go with getting some bestial suits... but figure the turn in stuff next year might be better.

But ofcourse if you can save your points on your characture, maybe it is worth getting the points now. They could always lower a blue crystal from 25k to 10k next time around.

Next year we start yelling when is spring clean up?

And we tell them what should be on the turn in list, which is typically what we each individually hoarded.

I am going to say make halloween masks worth 10k points.

They give us a lot of storage. And you are rewarded for being a save-it-all.

I know have 111 thanks to 20k masks in Luna.

I am wasting gold but I am seeing how many I can collect before it ends. Some of the issues with the game is that it generates a ridiculous amount of stuff.

Stuff that has to fall between hard to get and silly easy. Even though you might not be able to kill a pumpkin thing. Paying 60k for a set is well to easy in my opinion for an event drop.

A newbie character should be able to, they die in about 3 flamestrikes if you have decent SDI, and a dexxer can take them down in a few hits as well. (they're really slow and don't have any ranged attacks). I'm able to kill them fairly easily on my crafter with 70 magery and no eval (I had to try it....)

Not sure why you'd wait on the current cleanup, could be years/never before the next one, and by then the cleanup items could be different.

go to admit i have well over 2m points left and ive took one of each item..or more...nothing is worth taking now ....may as well sit on the 2m plus till next time...saying that im keeping items that would give well over another 4m of points...but these items of full named collections such as the globes and bells etc etc etc etc....

they are worth far more than any poxy reward pick!!

Are you perhaps saying that because of some exploit it ain't worth it to waste any item turning it in ?

If so, how does one get the rewards from the Clean Up without having points ??

Sorry for being naive, but I hardly had any time to log in the past weeks (way too busy in rl) and so I am totally outdated as in regards to whatever is UO related......

Don't let exploiters or other posters determine the value of the items you get from the Clean Up system. Turn in what you want to get the points to redeem for the item(s) you want and don't worry about the "market" values and the system will be fine.

I doubt they'll do ANOTHER cleanup next year... it's not like we're being overloaded with special event items these days anyway.

Turning in your stuff now to get 100k in points for a bless deed that you can get for 3 million or less in a few weeks... isn't worth the tossing of items.

Its like buying stock at top dollar when you have been told they are bankrupt.

Well all you exploiter ignor sayers (which I am mostly with)...

So much was cheated the whole market on atlantic is affected. I made my gold luckily early but where I would sell turn in times for 30% off, I cant even sell them at 50% off.... you know why?

The exploit let people put a 100k ticket out for 3 million or LESS IN BULK. Yes bulk. This item via gold conversion is worth 10 million.

I can't compete against that.


Blue Crystals I sold quickly for 1.7 million to 2.1 million the week before and after. They were worth 25k in points or 2.5 million.

They sit at 1 million as I type... for days... collecting dust.

As for next year i HPE they NEVER NEVER nEVER do clean up again it was a nice idea years ago but now it is just a joke that players stack JUNK, and i mean JUNK in their holds to hope to turn in to get more items. The exploit was truly sad and item bless deeeds should just be deleted now.

As for hoping for a tunr in next year don't hold your breath

Unfortunatly they need to go to somthign like Wow (damn did i say that) with account bound stuff so if you turned in 5 billions points the stuff you get can only be used on your account so it cannot be leveraged for personal gain. The same for event items, they shouldn't be allowed to be turened in to 1 biliion gold.

IMO , they should just give us a week notice on monday for the end of the spring cleaning and killer pumpkins event. It has ran long enough for the market to be saturated already.

Reactivate the slime dye event for a month instead. That was alot of fun.
