Well, at least I got your attention.... Anyway, I've been fishing a LOT lately, and noticed that one of my deep water chests was holding 20,318 Stones. Maybe I'm just gettin old, but the fish here are just plain heavy and I think that's why it caught my attention. Anyway, it made me wonder what the limit of a secure actually was - so I look'd it up (well, I tried to) and I must say that I was just flat astonished at how much weight my poor chars were actually carrying around...
According to the UOGuide (which I just love, btw) - I quote:
So according to the UOGuide (which is almost never wrong) my 467 Stone bard has been known, on occasion, to carry the equivalent of 6538 pounds! Now, considering that an 89 ford mustang weighs 2,750 pounds, I could carry 2 of them (at 5500 pounds) and have stamina enough to pile a good half a dozen relatives in 'em 'ta boot (but I get to pick the relatives)... Sheesh - Newfound respect there, for sure...
Well, at least that's what I was thinkin' until I saw what a packy has to carry.... Again, I quote:
I swear on all I know to be true, that I will NEVER EVER again complain about the capacity of any beast of burdon... 10 metric tons people...
And you wonder why they occasionally "wander off".... No mystery now.
According to the UOGuide (which I just love, btw) - I quote:
A stone is 14 pounds (~6.35029318 kilograms). A character can potentially walk with over 600 stones (when using items with strength enhancing properties along with magical buffs such as the Bless spell), which translates to 8,400 pounds (~3.8 metric tons).

On the other hand, the 1600 stones a pack animal can carry translates to 22,400 pounds, or just over 10 metric tons.
