in all my years playing UO ive noticed a few things.
one of the things ive notcied a few times now is that the guys who are pulling the strings behind the curtains like to kill of bad people (dupers and scripters) in a round about way.
so look at this, as what i think is, yet another under the table way that they just delt a blow to cheaters.
has anyone but me noticed that the invasion generals are dropping some H U G E weapons?
i logged on tonight and decided to clean out my loot box which is located just inside my house.
enhance all the armour, sort out the rings and watches.
and i started chucking out some of the new weapons from the event.
i had near 60 of them in total.
and ive been just casually doing the event for fun.
and then it occured to me as i looked at a heavy bow.
30 hit lower defence
50 swing speed increase
54 damage increase
that bow is better then anything ive ever crafted with a barbed runic fletching kit!!!!
sure, it dosnt have balance, but for just pure archer power that thing is nasty!
then i got to looking at all the weapons i got.
all of them are like that.
sure, i checked out like 50 of the 60 of them.
but the ones i kept where all like that.
45-50 SSI
50 - 55 DI
30 hit lightning or hit lower D
then it occured to me.
this is yet another under cover way to kill off the scritpers doing the heartwood runic quests and the dupers.
think about it.
i dont have to spend 10 mill on a bow now.
i just got bows that are better then anything i could ever need!
sure, if your hard hard core and your template needs it you need balanced.
but for what id say is probablly a majority of us we dont need that.
or we disarm, chug, rearm and save ourselved the cost of the bow.
but im thinking.
with this one event im not gonna need to do BODs to get a valortie runic or do heartwood quests to get a heartwood runic or go shopping and by any runics for a long while.
because these weapons are massive!
im not complaining here, dont get me wrong.
i just thought id point this out.
vine cord sandles duped - undercover solution, give us earings with resists and snakeskin boots
hooded robes (colored) - give us monks robes
there have been many examples of this over the years.
ya cant kill the cheaters.
take away their profit and buyers.
its a round about way of policing, but hey, its works.
i for one wont need to buy any scripted runics.
