I fought the 9th anniversary expansion 'till I couldn't any longer(2 years ago)
I really had a bad time of it a few weeks ago with the (silly) loss of some hard earned items, namely the *neuvo bleu ring and bracer* set, because I didn't insure it. As they say these days...MY BAD.
Felt really down in the dumps for the most part because I had saved most of the turn in items for so long, and had died so many times for the looted items, it just felt like a head shot to me.
The short story is that I was billed before I could actually turn off my account, and since I pay for 6 months at a time, I figured "what the hell",I'll give it another shot.
So I dug around, fished, turned in every concievable item I could, I have camped (2) accounts in dungeons simulaneously, as well as solo, untill I couldn't see straight, then I read a few posts about the so-called *event* to save "whoever" it was?? in the spider dungeon, and the other one to kill Melissa, and between all those activities, and the dungeon camping, I was able to replace the bracer/ring combo, and get two sets of armor; the sorccer's set and the ranger set. Not to mention 2 pairs of nocturne earrings...
The funny thing is that I did it all with 2 accounts, of which there were 5 characters that were totally defenseless, and I did *both* parts of the quest. No new accounts or young characters, just my old stand by chars and alot of prep work.
I have no idea how much longer this will be going on for, but my plans include another jewelry set, and the first, white armor set, if time permits. I am by no means a power player, but I hope this post will encourage those who are a little timid about doing these quests, they are really easy if you follow the instructions, and tips that are in the other posts in this forum. Most players are very helpful, this doesn't seem to be a dog-eat-dog set of quests, there is more than enough loot to go around, and that makes most players very easy to get along with.
