Come on now. I know that the trade deals can't always give the most desirable pinks for each trip from Minoc to Brit (my favorite trade route), but it seems the game wants me to be a camper that likes to taste potions while herding animals.

I am curious as to the drop chance for each skill. Is there a spreadsheet I can look at?

I actually had a good run on the trade quests today. Did 10 and got 6 pinks, 3 of which were Alchemy so its not all bad all the time ;)

I'd love to see an alchemy pink once in a while. I wonder. Does luck factor into what pink I get? I usually run trades in a 420 luck suit, which isn't great, but it's not bad either.

Edit: I hate the dud runs when I get something like 80 spined leather. Really? I ran all the way to Yew from Minoc and killed five or six ambush mobs...and you give me leather? :wall:

Remember when having a full suit of dragon scale armor was a good thing? Extra defense when a full suit was equipped was awesome.
indeed, and i loved the 3d graphic for the Dragon hammer needed to smith them

Yep. Each color had a strength and a weakness, before the five Resists. One of the best was Red. Would reduce damage taken from Magic Arrow, Fireball, Explosion or Flamestrike, but would increase damage taken from Poison.

I made a couple of suits of dragon armor just now and the resists are way below par for the skill required to make it. non-exceptional yellow scale armor have me a base of 0/20/20/20/20. I didn't have enough scales to push for exceptional pieces, but I don't think they would be much better.

Last December, after the merchant quests started and I still had vendors on Balhae, I made some dragon scale armor to sell. I checked my suit-making spreadsheet and this is what the properties were on one of the dragon scale suits I imbued and sold there:

Resists: 73% physical, 85% fire, 70% cold, 70% poison, and 70% energy.
600 Luck
48% Stamina Increase
14% Mana Increase
12 Hit Point Increase
40% Lower Mana Cost

I had to use 50 POF to get all the pieces up to 150% durability (on dragon scale armor exceptionally crafted by a 120 smith, the durability ranged from 66 as the lowest and 84 as the highest); 53 boura pelts; 60 chaga mushrooms; and 60 luminescent fungi.

My notes are a bit cryptic to me at this point, but I believe I used white scales for the dragon scale helm; green scales for the chest; red scales for the legs; blue scales for the arms; and black scales for the gloves. Unfortunately, I apparently didn't write down which metal I used to make the platemail gorget.

Yellow Dragon Armor is by far the worst in terms of Resists. It really only gives +1 Total Resist and +20 Luck. Last time i checked, all the other Scales gave a +11 total Resist to a piece, which is lower than Valorite's +17 total Resist/+50% Durability.
I just crafted an Exceptional Valorite Platemail Tunic with GM Armslore, and it has 52 Total Resists. Then i crafted an Exceptional Black Dragon Breastplate with GM Armslore, and it has 46 total Resists. They really do need to make Dragon Armor equivalent to Valorite at the least, to warrant the higher skill and harder to get resource for making them. Dragon Armor can't be recycled either.

I still love the look of Dragon Armor though. It's my favorite looking Blacksmith Armor, while Bone Armor is my favorite looking Tailor Armor. Makes me wish Dragon Armor would pop up as random loot, a Legendary Artifact Dragon Armor suit would be awesome.

Except due to the crappy way it is the resists would stink.
