I bought a cursed Axe of the Heavens.

What does cursed mean?

Hehe! Means, you cannot insure or bless it. So when you die and are rezzed, the weapon will stay on your body. So it's a good way of getting cheap, good items. However, there is a big risk of losing the item if you die and can't get back to your body.

Nope. The uncursed ones come from DOOM and the Blackrock Turn in event. The cursed ones came from the Ophidian Invasion and the Magincia Invasion.

yes you lose them unless you get back and loot your body i lost a jackal collar ring of vile at same time that way

It won't *poof* unless your corpse decays. Cursed simply means that it will ALWAYS fall to your corpse upon death.

Doesnt go poof. If you make it back to your body and its not there.....its highly possible that it was looted by either a player (if in fel) or by a mob (liches have a particular nasty habit of looting player corpses).

Cursed items are fine as long as you make sure you aren't in a place where you can be looted (fel ) or can't get back to your body easy. I also wouldn't take any item in a champ spawn. If you die, something might rarely loot items off you, and in a champ spawn with tons of bodies, you won't really find it again.

They are pretty cheap, many people have tons sitting around, and won't usually use them anyway. If you ever lose it, just post on your shard forum im sure someone with tons of cursed items laying about will give you another one. We love REAL items, not cursed ones, but they are great to use until you get a regular one.
