Last night I was at a store and bought two items...a globe and a blue vase (from the catalog). I KNOW what I clicked on and I KNOW how much money was taken out of my account to pay for the items. I got them home and they turned into something totally different. I IMed a roomie, who told me to contact the roomie the items (obviously CC) belonged to. I logged on today and he imed me. Was very rude. I was trying to be very nice to him and just wanted my money back. He was being uncooperative and very rude, so I just decided to forget the whole thing and put him on ignore and ban. Then he had another sim IM me, treat me very rudely and accuse ME of scamming. I've been around since beta days and can assure you I don't scam people. All I was doing was trying to get my $500 back.

#2 I apologized over and over saying theres nothing I can do but refund for what You bought it for from transaction history.
#3 I do not make blue vases, or globes.

How is ignoring me sorting things out, so i was forced to send u another im with another sim.

Look at what it says, and look in my cash do I have even over 500?

This sounds more like a bug to me than a rip off situation. Objects just do not morph into something completely different, not unless they're buggy...

Well it sounds legit that you wanted to work it out. I say she needs to take you off of iggy and set this straight. Accidents happen in this game that usually has nothing to do with the seller. Without seeing the interactions in IM, no one will ever know the truth. But, at least coming here and posting something shows you want to make this right.

I agree, that sounds more like some sort of bug. I'm not sure why anyone would sell changing cc. That would be more trouble to go to for something really stupid.

And again, I wish people wouldn't get defensive on the boards. Its better if we all keep it impersonal because that way nobody knows what sims were involved and it doesn't turn into a standoff between two people with everyone on here questioning them as people.

I always check my inventory before I leave any store where I have purchased an item. I agree this sounds like a bug.

Is it possible the items you thought were from catalog were just CC items you couldn't actually see? Maybe because your cashe folder wasn't cleaned out or for whatever reason?

Second what was the seller rude about? The fact that you were demanding a refund for amounts his records didn't match? Or was he/she rude from the very beginning?
Seems to me if that seller would take the time to come on here to work things out he/she couldn't have been thaaaat rude...

As for the seller posting, you could easily trade your money to another avatar and show less money so I wouldn't really take that as proof. However the buyer would know it was her receipt by seeing her name in the avatar section on your screenshots.

Good luck working things out. This is a lesson to all buyers and sellers out there.
I don't see how this could be a bug, unless this occurred in TC3.

Made a custom sign for someone, and when they got it home it said it was not approved. So I took the sign back and for me it also said not approved. So I shut down the game, cleared my cache, when I came back it was there. Many of us are trying our hardest to bring this game CC people want, and it's just difficult when it doesn't appear as it should. This might be the same problem you had. My customer is picking the sign up again, and hopefully it will work at their lot as it does at mine.

That's what I was thinking, which is why I was just going to forget it and just report it as a bug. But then this other sim (Not the maker of the item) accused me of scamming which just upset me more.

OK, so you showed the receipt for the one item, that was 30 e.m.u. She said she bought 2 items....where's the other receipt? Are you trying to say that's the only thing she bought from you, 30 instead of 500 e.m.u. worth? Would it be worth it to return the 500 just to clear your name of any wrong-doing?

Maybe you ought to try that and see what happens.

Yes, it might clear that issue but it still doesn't explain why the seller is saying his (her?) evidence only shows that TKSpeedy bought such a little amount from what she said she bought.....so there's two issues at play here. I can understand that the cache thing would make those objects 'morph' but I don't understand why his records aren't jiving with what was debited out of her account.......so there's potentially two bugs at play, or one bug (the cache) and one scam (him saying she didn't buy as much as she did). Somehow it needs to be determined which one it is.

Cache was cleared out, so that isn't the problem. Like I said, it must've been a bug. And yes, seller was rude from the beginning. I wasn't online two seconds this morning when he imed me and was rude from the beginning. And I was actually trying to be nice.

Actually, I didn't ignore all of your sims. I put one on temporary ignore, which is now off because I just wanted to forget it. But then another sim, which I assume was you as well imed me, accused me of scamming the store and then put ME on ignore when I tried to respond. That upset me more than anything. But you forgot to mention that part in your post, didn't you?

There should be a way to get a receipt when you buy something. You know how the seller gets an e-mail saying who bought what? The buyer should also get an e-mail for their proof and protection as well.
