This is the fourth day in a row Atlantic has been brought down without any notice and a revert of about 30min occurs. What gives EA? At last let us know ahead of time.

They aren't taking it down. Its crashing, like in the old days.

We used to lose entire days all the time, this is nothing.

Are the crashes to the desktop a result of lost packets? I am betting they are. Is there any liability here? I know I have two accounts, one ten years and one a couple of years. There is no reason to keep subscribing to EA if the games are unplayable every single evening. I think I know that EA is not at fault, but whoever runs alter-net surely is causing loss of revenue to companies like EA who are losing subscribers. I use Comcast, and have no problems whatever to any url except the American servers of EA, so I am not thinking of dropping Comcast. Dropping UO and other EA games, however, is becoming a distinct possibility.

What with the apparent ALTER.NET issue with latency and Atlantic crashing like a crash test dummy on repeat, I'm starting to wonder whether it's 2012 or 1998.
