Hunting Advice fer Newbie

Just about got my Sampire character complete. It's been a blast killing Ogre Lords for 6 months, but now I want something different.

Is there any places you could suggest where I can hunt to find good loot, arties, solo? And what do I need to have equipped for this? I don't even know how to cure lvl 5 poison, so keep in mind all's I know is how to melee with Bushido's Lightning Strike, Chivs CW and EoO.


My temp and stats are:

118 STR
102 DEX
44 INT

120 Sword, 106.6 Necro (actual 95 or 96), 101 Anat and Tactics, 13 (and dropping) SS, 102 Parry, 105 Bushido, 60 Chiv.

Resists in Sampire:
67 Phy
37 Fire
47 Cold
60 Poison
45 Elec

Gear:
100 LRC suit, 267 Luck, Soul Seeker.

With 37 fire resist, I wouldn't recommend going after any high level spawn.

You really need to rework your armor (LRC isn't needed, resists are)

But before you do, you could probably do very well in fighting Miasma or Thrasher or other ML named monsters who don't do fire, cold or energy damage.

With your current suit, I'd suggest Miasma.

Chiv's Cleanse By Fire will cure poison up to level 6, but you may have to cast it several times for it to cure you.

so keep in mind all's I know is how to melee with Bushido's Lightning Strike, Chivs CW and EoO.

You really need to start learning how and when to use Evasion. Evasion is a Sampire's best friend. Confidence and Counter Strike are also 2 big ones you need to start using. The Bushido page on the main Stratics site has all of the up to date information on all of these spells.

This needs some adjusting. You need to drop Int down, and probably a bit of Str as well to get your Dex up. You should be aiming for 150 Dex as your goal.

This needs some adjusting as well. Here is the most common Sampire template, and is tried and tested:

Wow, you really need to work on this suit. Why are you using LRC on this character? It's not necessary as the only spell you'll be casting as a Sampire that requires regs is Vamp form, and that can be taken care of with a pair of Arcane Boots. As the others have mentioned, your Fire, Cold and Energy are way too low. Anything that casts spells would be flame broiling you and having you for dinner, probably with peas and carrots and maybe mashed potatoes.

100 LRC suit, 267 Luck, Soul Seeker.

As already mentioned, the LRC isn't necessary. Soul Seeker is a nice weapon to get started with, but you should be burning Copper and Bronze runic hammers (if not higher) trying to make Twinkling Scimitars, Ornate Axes, and Mage's Rune Blades with ML, SL, SSI, and DI.
