Human verses Elf Hit Points

I have read that Elves have 10 less Hit Points than Humans. When I create both races with 50 Strength, they both have 75 HP. Do both races actually have the same HP formula of HP=(Strength/2)+50?

They both have the same hit points. Elves however do get an extra 20 mana.

they have higher carrying capacity and slightly faster hp regen.

There is no difference in hit points between any of the three races in UO.
