human to elf quest

ive got all the side quests done for the human to elf quest...however when i was escorting bravehorn...i was walkin and all of a sudden he disappeared from the screen...i tried lookin for him but couldnt find him

i then quit the quest to restart it...and now i go back to him and he says i already have an escort

so what do i do now...any help would be greatly appreciated

Sounds like a strange one.

First off, check to see if you have any other escort type of quests such as Prisoner, Town to Town, or New-Haven Quests. If you have any, quit those quests as well.

Try Bravehorn again...

If that does not work, then go to a town and find an NPC Nobel that wants to be escorted to another town. If it will give you the quest, then complete it. Something about the NPC nobel quest was designed to help reset the quest system and I have seen Dev's and GM's recommend that many times.

Try Bravehorn again...

If that does not work, then it's beyond me.

Same thing happened to me. Call a GM and they will "reset" the escort message. Then, you should be able to escort bravehorn again.

You need to find some "essence of doe"... I think you can get it from an NPC Ranger in Yew. Pour out just a little and then rub that on your buttocks. Staghorn will follow you everywhere.

*Hint* Don't let him get too close though or the quest might have an unexpected ending...

Note too that there are 2 different quest menus - the one I was not aware of was the one in your player context menu that pops up when you click on yourself. I was stuck in a quest and it was hiding there!
