Human to elf quest not doable?

I'm stuck on the part where you have to get the sap, i'm at the spot marked on the stratics human to elf quest and I can't find the bottle anywhere, anyone know what's wrong?

Run around and use ctrl+shift. It's not just in one spot

It can be a pain in the neck to find, but spawns in different spots around the giant yew tree. It is called sap of Sosaria, and it looks basically like a potion bottle, a slightly different color green than poison. It is a pretty small item, so as already mentioned, Ctrl + Shift to bring up item handles, as you run around the area, is your friend.

it can be a pain to find the sap... definitley true.

I did the quest today, so I know for a fact that it still works.
