How to vote for a new guild leader

Hi guys! Our Guild leader has abbandoned us last November so we had to vote for a new GL. We did just that! The person we voted for has a * next to his name on the guild roster so we thought the vote was legitemate.
Ist over 2 months now and the Guild member ist still not a GL but an emmissary...We do something wrong? We gave him at least 20 votes

You need at least a 2/3 majority. Any active member who does not vote, votes automatically for the current guild leader.

The * should appear on "your" guild roster and indicates who "you" have voted for as Guild Leader. Someone elses roster would show an * next to the member they voted for.

How many "Active" members are in your guild?

Ronins cant vote so make some of the roster into ronins and you need a lot fever votes to reach 2/3.

Besides the Guild Leader, you'll need an Emissary to demote a member to Ronin.

Unfortunately just about everyone who logs in in the 30 day voting period has to vote for the person who wants to be leader.
If I recall, there's no indicator that specifically tells someone logging in to vote, so the system is pancaked all to heck.
I tried to take over MT and UTB of Baja. I failed. Perhaps I should add "voting for guild leader" to the list of things we want for 2019. LOL.
