[Imbuing] How to read the unravelling numeric "value" of an item ?

I have read on posts about items having an unravelling numeric "value" which determines what one gets from unravelling.

How can one read this value ?

I do have item ID at 100.0 but when I ID an item near the soulforge all I get is the gold points value and what it can be unravelled into. I get no "unravelling points value" at all.

I checked also the imbuing Menu but do not get this numeric value there either.

So, how does one read it ?

By the way, I saw references to this value being weighted or unweighted.

What is the difference and where can one read both values ?

Thanks.

please read this post and then go to the stickies in this forum and read those the info is there!
also if you use the enhanced client there are mods that will tell you these numbers for items!
currently item id is not much help !

Well, I did some reading but it scared the hell out of me.......

I am supposed to actually do manual accounting for EACH item to figure out its unravelling number ?

Seriously ?

I understand in the EC there is mods, but what about users of the 2D client ?

Is there anything which pulls that value without getting a headache ?

A spreadsheet... barring that, just pile everything in a bag, and use the EC to sort it out later.

That is what I was thinking......

Since I have never used mods with the EC, can someone tell how exactly I should import the imbuing mod from the mod exchange site so that when I open the EC client it will read the mod fine and tell me the information I need ?

Thanks a lot.

Also, I heard that using the Queen's soulforge results differ from using one's own soulforge in one's own home.

Does this mean that the mod is capable of detecting near which Soulforge one is and, give different values depending on which Soulforge one is standing near ?

Or are there 2 separate mods to be used, one when using the Queen's soulforge and another when using one's own Soulforge at home ?

By the way, what are the differences between skins, partial skins and mods ?

Furthermore, the Queen's Soulforge is always valid, even when one reaches 120 imbuing or at higher imbuing levels using one's own soulforge at home just works the same as the Queen's ?

Lastly, which is the most efficient way to build loyalty with the Queen ? I heard hunting the slimes is that correct ?
Since they hit with acid it means that a melee fighter would not be appropriate ?
Better ranged like a Spellcaster or an Archer ?

What about a mysticist using a Colossus ?

Sorry for all of the questions and thanks for the replies.

The queen's soulforge is always the best place to unravel and to imbue the final 2 mods on a piece. The boost to success is vital. I imbue 3 mods at home and the final ones at the forge so that I don't have to carry so many resources around.
Calculating unravelling is so far beyond my understanding that I just don't bother. I just shove everything in a bag, unravel in the palace and hope. I want to play a game, not take a math class.
The creature most recommended for killing to gain loyalty is the toxic sliths. They're found just over the bridge to the east of the northern walls of the city.

As far as gaining loyalty for the queens forge (which I now have over 10,000 yay!) from my perspective toxic sliths are great. They aren't too difficult to kill and there is a lot that spawn within the spawn area and you can get stuff to unravel (no relics) horned hides, toxic venom sacs (used by an alchemist to make souring toxin) slith tongue and there are void creatures (Kopre and the various ords) and boura in the area that you can harvest from also and silver serpents that you can get silver sperpent venom from. I must have gotten a couple thousand horned hides and a hundred toxic venom sacs and about 30 or so boura pelts during the time I was trying to gain loyalty.
While I was there I saw a guy with mysticism who was slaughering the toxic sliths and everything else. He was amazingly powerful. I saw another who was perhaps not as skilled but rising colossus seems to work well as far as I can tell. I saw a guy with a vollem killing them and he seemed to do ok. What I did was to put magery on my imbuer and he gmed it during the process I also gmed inscription and used energy vortex scrolls although initially I used bladespirits. Bladespirits are slow but work ok and you have to invis somehow or run away. My imbuer is also a gm alchemist so he has invis pots which he can use or when he got more skill he used invis scrolls and now just the invis spell. Toxic sliths are fast and they keep coming at you. My alchemist imbuer also used greter confusion potions to get the toxic sliths to quit targeting me before my magery was high enough so that I never fail on invis.
The toxic sliths also poison you but for my alcemist imbuer it's not a problem. I also forgot to mention the toxic sltihs have around 400 gold on them. I haven't tried the sliths that have acid.
Now I have a question. I noticed my loyalty keeps going up after 10,000 as I continue to harvest resources in the area. Is there any use to having higher than 10,000 loyalty points?

I also recommend toxic sliths for queen's forge access. Grab a reptile slayer ftw! With a reptile slayer spellbook and 2 ebolts per slith it goes fast. At 92 magery you will never fail an ebolt. All of my crafters used magery and none had any mage skills scrolled above 100. I did have about GM eval to help with the damage.

I know of no reason to go above 10,000 loyalty points. I usually take it to 10,300 and then stop. I'm glad loyalty does not decay.

also consider skinning the toxic sliths for your tailor. They give horned hides...

10 hides if an elf or gargoyle using a normal tool (includes skinning knife or Butcher's war cleaver)
11 hides if a human using a normal tool
11 hides if an elf or gargoyle using a Harvester's blade
13 hides if a human using a Harvester's blade.

Needless to say, the sliths are the best source for horned, if using a human and the harvester's blade, as the way that the human and HB bonuses stack give you a 30% bonus, instead of 10%+10%.
