(Question) How to put containers of items on public display

I'm trying to setup my bell collection on public display. I have been organizing them into containers (alphabetically by name).

I think this is the case in the testing I have done, but just wanted to be sure it can't be exploited. It seems the proper way to do this is to lock down the container and set access to "Anyone".

Has anyone had experience in doing this with containers and run into any problems or concerns I should be aware of?

I'd just hate to wake-up one day and find them all missing, was there ever a bug like that? I probably am overly cautious...

Thanks!

If you make a container set as a lock down, even if set to anyone to open it, in theory the visitors should only be able to see into the container and not be able to take stuff out. But if yu set to via Iwish to secure this, then do NOT set it to anyone to open. :)

Although with bells, it may be better to display those locked down on tables or podiums, or just stacked on floor but lifting each one up a bit to display say a stack of 6 bells or so per row of bells.
I did the stacks on Chesapeake, for all the Christmas bells I had had on display and it was pretty,
I sorta color coded them, plus alphabeticall by who's name the bells were named after, but then I surely do not have as many bells to display as you would ! :)

Try a 'locked dow'n gift box, then if yu have an alt or even your main chr. see if he can get any of the bells out of the box once yu lock it down with bell inside box. *not secured just locked down* set to anyone to open. In theory no one should be able to abscound with them locked down in a lock down box, but probably best to lock each bell down as an item on some display tables or floor etc. then they should be ok, but yeh never know some turkey with some stupid exploit maybe could get em anyhow.

I've done this for a few containers in my museum to show some bells etc. So far no problems.

Thank you both for the suggestions and information.

Queen - I think I will try your idea on keeping them out of containers, lose less sleep that way. Much appreciated - wish I could have see your display as I'm sure it was great!

I will stop by Symma's museum as well to check it out.
