How to get rid of annoying sidebar?

As above - you can close it by clicking on the cross but as soon as you change a page it is back. If you click on the T it allegedly tells you how to disable it. Unfortunately that does not work Yontoo is not in my list of programmes to uninstall. This seems to be a new addition I don't remember seeing it before.

Assuming it is Yontoo, this is an adware infection and you should ensure it is uninstalled and any Yontoo-related browser plugins are also disabled/deleted. Just using Adblock might treat the symptoms but not really handle the cause fully.

Also, Firefox is not immune to this. Dunno why people give it as the default answer as if it is somehow more secure or something. It isn't and there are ad blocking methods available for pretty much all browsers these days.
