how to get off a small ship to land?

I can't get off a small ship to land even closer and closer

walk. you can't run. but if you walk slowly it will allow you to get off the ship. (i assume you have the gang plank open.)

Sometimes you can also teleport to land.

Options > Interface (the mouse icon top right) > Uncheck the box where it says "Your character will always run if this is checked".

You need to "walk" off the plank to get off the boat.

step 1. be on a boat.

step 2. make sure the boat is unlocked. (see figure 1a.)



step 3. place the mouse cursor 1-2 inches away from your character in the direction of the plank (must be facing land. see figure 1b. below.)



step 4. push the right mouse button (see figure 2a.)



step 5. if done properly then you should experience the results below (shown in figure 2b.)

sometimes the boat can be to close the land. Ive had that happen before.

Get a Tokonu boat from the Sea Market if you have High Seas. They're sooo much easier to get on and off of, including places where small boats can't dock. Well worth the 150k.
