how the hell i land my blows

I am realizing lately, maybe i am very unlukcy lately, that, in this scenario:
me: 120 sword, 100 tactics, 118 bush, 120 parry, with 25 HCI (sometimes more) and 35 DCI.

fighting with the doom Shadow Night, he usually has 100 wrestling & tactics,

lot of times, i fail!!, even 3 consecutive fails, and he lands 3 cons.blows, what the hell, this is a miracle or what?
I must have about a 85% of succesful landing a blow, and he should not have even 20%, isn't it?
Even with lightning strike i fail sometimes.

What's the matter?

Just an observation, with 118 bushido you might as well have 100 bushido. You are basically packing a 13% critical chance. Get it to 120 and then try again.

What's the matter?

If you are not using a 2 handed weapon, you're only penalizing yourself. As it stands with your stats now, you have about a 33% chance to block an attack. You have around a 30% chance if you're using a one-handed weapon.

Even if HCI and DCI was figured in for mobs and you had 45 DCI and the mob had zero HCI, it would still hit you almost 30% of the time, based on said mob and your combat skills.

Frankly you should congratulate yourself if you believe it is around 85% success on landing a hit. Normal circumstances you would only hit that particular mob less than 60% of the time.

Just get bushido up to 120 and try again. That will figure in a little bit more for your offense, as well as your defense. But, only if you use two-handed weapons.

per stratics witch my be wrong (probly is even if i havent heard a change to hit chance at all) you should have a 72% chance to hit that mob thats given 120 weapon skill vs 100 and 25 hci vs 0 dci with lighting strike you have +50 hci or aka 45 seeing how thats the cap for an 84% hit chance. 120 bush will only up your chance of getting a critical hit (meaining treating the monster as if it had 0 resists for the attack) and not your bonus to hit from using it so it has nothing to do with how often you hit.

on getting hit you should have a 31% chance to get hit with a 34 for a 1 handed or 39 for a two handed weapon chance to block.
meaning you shoudl only get hit about 20.46% of swings for 1 handed (31% - (31 * .34) or a 18.91% chance to get hit with a 2 hander (31-(31*.39)

120 bush is gonna give you 1% more chance to parry not a big deal but it also gives you a huge jump in chance for crit with lighting strike and a small boost to confedence

the sad truth is was the other player has stated the random number gen sucks hard core
