How much are homes worth, placing, questions!

Hi all,

I have been out of the loop for a few years... How much gold are large towers, castles , other houses selling for? Also, it seems to me that you can place homes now because of the reduced population.. is this true.. what size are you able to place.. any help would be appreciated.... i am actually looking for some advice from everyone here on the board...thank you!!!

Castle's and Keep's still fetch alot of money. Good deals to be had from 2 mil on up for a max lock down house. If I were you I wud get me a tool and walk around there are alot of spots to place a max lock down house.
If your not to picky about location. Probably cud find one not blocked in front with a little work. Good luck

I agree....in fact, we keep a green book at FCB with free house spot runes--there are often max lock-down houses in it.

I can't remember, I am gettin long in the tooth. My memory is not what it once was.

My first day back on UO, I bought a placement tool and went wandering. Within about 20 minutes I was lucky enough to find a free 15x15 spot a couple of screens directly south of Umbra moongate.

I've since moved on to an 18x18 and passed the 15x15 on for free to a -Y- guildmate. The 18x18 came about after two neighbouring IDOC's fell and left space for two 18x18's.

There's regularly houses falling, so it's well worth spending a little time looking around, if not for the hit n' miss fun of the IDOC's themselves.

EDIT: Just placed an 18x18 house in Ter Mur, next to the Royal City, after killing critters for about an hour to get the 10,000 loyalty points needed. So, I have an 18x18 custom in Malas going spare now...
