So, if I'm exiting a dungeon with my pet following me. I'm insta ganked and die. Mr Fluffy will just stand there, shedding tears as he endures the extrociating pain until death re-unites us?

Passive mode is broken by:
Giving the 'all kill' command
Giving the 'guard me' command
The death of the owner.
I tested it myself on test center - much as it pained me to actually die on purpose to find out what would happen
