How do you name your parrot?

Ive spent hours googling but cant find anything so I apologize in advance if its here somewhere and I missed it.

I believe he has to be placed on a perch first, then you just drag off his health bar and click in the area where it says "a pet parrot" (or however they start out, mine is already named) and backspace over what it says and replace it with the name you want. You do have to use a character on the account that owns the house to do it.

Sorry this took so long, I had to dig this up from the archives.

To name your new parrot you must accept the Parrot Naming Quest from Sarakki the Notary in Britain. She will ask you to obtain a certificate of your parrots health.

After you accept the quest, head to the town of Zento in the Tokumo Islands. Seek out Etsumi the Animal Trainer. Ask him to examine your parrot. Dont forget to toggle your parrot as a quest item. If Etsumi determines your parrot is healthy, he will place a certificate of health in your backpack.

Now you can return to Britain and give the certificate of health to Sarakki. She will present you with an official parrot perch deed.

Take your parrot home and find a nice spot for your new best friend!

Yeh after ya find a player carpenter to buy a parrot perch from, you click on that perch like any add on deed, where you want the perch standing, then click on the birdie..poof it should land right atop the perch.

Then you get it's health bar like you would if naming a pet horse, and backspace and then type in the parrot name you want birdie to be called.

They will eat parrot waffers player chefs can make those for sale.

IF you customise your home make sure you *axe* the perch* like any other add on like ovens or beds, the deed will land in your backpack WITH the parrot on it, cuz customising before ya remove the perch/bird can land your pet parrot out in your lawn. . which ya do not want.

As for *how* I name them otherwise, if they were a gift from someone then I name the parrot that person's name, other of my parrots are named after leaders like guild masters on shard or guildmates, some named after my own chrs.too, the rest I name by *bards*... so I have parrots named Pink Floyd, Santana, Led Zepplin, Ice Ice Baby, etc. etc.

I only have like 50 of em I NEED MORE !
