How do yall figure prices for armor/weps

So for the life of me i cant seem to figure out how yall figure out how much a wep/armor piece should be sold for??

Is there a website out there that helps price an item for ya? or you just gueesstimating?

ive crafted a bunch of armor and weps recently, but after i sell it i find that im selling way to cheap

any advice on pricing weps etc??

ive been playing a merchant for years.


Armor, weapons, and jewelry are very hard to price.

Start high. Cut in half after a week of heavy gating to your vendor.

The problem is that every piece of armor isnt needed by every player. You might get 10 mill for a gorget that a player needs to finish his suit. The gorget might only be worth 500k.

The best way to learn is walk through luna just to find the price (which are high) but more importantly what the items have on them.

For example

Weapons
30% ssi, with lightning, HLD

Armor
mana regen 2
LRC
60+ resists

Youll get a sense of the basic requirements for an item to be sought after.

Then price away. It isnt easy. The other thing is to go to brit and ask for bids on what your holding or wearing.

usually i do the same thing raven suggested - i price stuff by guessing and if it doesn't sell i cut the price in half. i also price things using a flat-rate process for my atlantic luna vendor - that helps too. all LRC 15 and below = a flat $5k; LRC 16-20 = $20-50k; luck < 100 = a flat $20k; luck 100+ = $50-200k, etc. - i try to keep within price ranges that are fair, based on what my past experiences have been with both selling and buying.

i price things lower when i sell them on my napa house vendor. at least when you rent a luna vendor you're guaranteed a certain amount of exposure so you can start high and then start cutting your price in half until it sells. that way you get an idea over time what things are worth.
