How can I get a soulstone?

You can make soulstone fragments with glassblowing.

I've never seen crystal granules nor void essences to make them...

I do believe you need to be upgraded to SA to craft them, but I'm not certain. You can, however, buy the legacy token from uogamecodes.com and use that to get a green soulstone. They charge $10 for them.

I just crafted the new SA glassblowing objects fine (mirrors and weapons) so I don't think one needs SA to craft them.

My question is rather: do I need to upgrade to SA to get to where the reagents drop, void essences and crystal granules ?

I'll check uogamecodes again but if I'm not mistaken I need 2 soulstones (one to store the skill I drop, another one to hold the skill I transfer) correct?
If so, 20$ for soulstones is not really cheaper than the whole expansion pack

Not as hard as the shimmering effusion you need to get the shimmering crystals off to be able to make crystal granules.

I think "forced" is a rather harsh interpretation. It's an option and it gives an exit for a piece of ML deco and can be bypassed with a vet reward or a buyable item.

They aren't peerlesses, they're regular monsters... any void creature above a Korpre has a chance of dropping a void essence, and the next few steps above that are barely as tough as an orc.

Crysta, it's not the void essence that makes the soulstone hard to make, it's the crystal granules, which are made from shimmering crystals. Please correct me if I'm mistaken, but I believe the only source of shimmering crystals is shimmering effusion?
